How to Access Bali

Bali can easily be reached by air. There are now many International Airlines running scheduled flight to and from Ngurah Rai, Bali International Airport. Garuda Indonesia is the National Flag carrier. In addition to Garuda, International flights are offered by Qantas, Malaysian Airlines System, Cathy Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Chine Airlines, Thai International, Korean Air, and some other. The routes of some of the International Airlines take flights from foreign airports to Singapore first. It only takes two and one-half hours to fly from Singapore to Bali.

Garuda Indonesia offers regular direct International services to Bali from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hongkong, Tokyo, Nagoya, Singapore, Soul, Taipei and Aucland. There are also flights to Bali Via Jakarta from Abu Dhabi, Rome, Zurich, Brussel and Frankfurt. Garuda also runs regulr flights to Australian destination : Darwin, Port Hedland, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville. Garuda Indonesia with several flights from Jakarta to cities of commercial and tourist importance. Services from provincical capitals to remote areas are provided by the domestic carriers : Merpati Nusantara Airlines, Bouraq, Pelita Air Service and Mandala.

Large International cruise ships and yachts can anchor at two of the four seaport in Bali : Benoa, which is South of Denpasar, and Padangbai on the Northeast coast.

The harbour of Singaraja (Celukan Bawang), on the North coast now serves only a few Bugis schooners and smallers crafts that provide service between North Bali and Java.
